Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result service; the reference's own servers do not retain a copy of that search. A message sent directly to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting services generate ordinary logs, such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or similar tools may support essential analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate and troubleshoot the reference, measure traffic, and improve its pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and the reference does not create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to Wayne County and Michigan records portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The privacy terms of those services govern any information submitted there. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers process the technical logs described above. Analytics and advertising partners may receive that automatic information. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise only as described here.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. No user account, password, or personal profile is created by this reference.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a visitor under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Depending on the visitor's location, law may provide rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service holds. Michigan research did not identify a comprehensive state consumer-privacy statute that changes this general policy. Because little data is kept, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page. Public records controlled by Michigan, Wayne County, or Dearborn Heights remain with their custodian and must be addressed there.
